Most water treatment plants are failing to remove PFAS from your drinking water. A 2026 study published in Environmental Health Perspectives found that these facilities remove less than 50% of these persistent chemicals.
Researchers analyzed source water and tap water samples and found that PFBA, PFPeA, 6:2 FTS, PFOA, and PFOS are prevalent throughout the supply chain. Even worse, the study linked these chemicals to disrupted lipid metabolism in pregnant women, specifically impacting glycerophospholipid homeostasis. Your water isn't just a liquid; it's a delivery system for endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
You cannot rely on municipal treatment to keep your family safe. If you are concerned about what is coming out of your kitchen faucet, it is time to take control of your filtration system. We have curated a list of non-toxic home alternatives to help you filter out these contaminants and stop the cycle of exposure at home.
